In partnership with the Urban League, the Coalition on Homelessness is hosting a virtual training session for service providers to help people without homes register and vote in the 2022 August Primary Election is on Tuesday, August 2nd and the November General Election is on Tuesday November 8th.
The Coalition and the Urban League has been helping people to vote and vote for years. We want to make sure that folks know that their voices matter and are important, and that You Don’t Need a Home to be a Voter!
These sessions are for homeless service and housing providers, case managers, and volunteers at community sites interested in helping people experiencing homeless or housing insecurity register to vote. We will cover dates and deadlines for the August 2nd primary, voting rights for people experiencing homelessness and/or those who have been directly impacted by the criminal legal system, and information about how to fill out a voter registration form for someone without a residential address.
The Coalition engages in non-partisan voter registration and education work. We advocate to expand voting rights, strengthen democracy, and ensure that all members of our community actively participate at every level of government. To receive advocacy alerts or information regarding future meetings and trainings, please sign up for our email list.
