What to Expect

This forum is geared towards case managers working with people experiencing homelessness – both new case managers as well as experienced providers who support others in navigating public benefits (ABD/HEN, TANF, WorkFirst, Medicaid/Medicare, SNAP).

This is a space for direct service providers, case managers, and peers to come together to talk about their work supporting people who are on or applying for public benefits, share what barriers you and your clients are facing, and network with other providers doing this work. 

There will be an educational component to these quarterly meetings followed by time to ask your colleagues questions, share best practices, learn from each other, and identify issues that providers and clients are experiencing across the system.

Meeting Agenda

The first 30-45 minutes of this meeting will be focused on a topical issue related to public benefits with guest speakers sharing their experiences and expertise. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue with the speakers, each other, and ask questions related to the topic. 

The second 45-60 minutes will be an opportunity to ask each other questions, share resources with the group, make professional connections, and identify issues across the system or specific to a particular population. 

This community forum is intended to bring providers across the homelessness, housing, and human services sector together to build community, share knowledge, and support each other, therefore this forum will not be recorded or shared via the Coalition's blog.
